The SAM Coupé computer was produced in 1989, its main selling point that it was ZX Spectrum 48K compatible.
Simcoupe
This is an emulator of the Sam Coupé it runs under Windows, MS- DOS, Linux/Unix and many other operating systems.
Quazar
Produces a bi-monthly magazine call Sam Revival. Also they sell hardware and software. Currently being developed is an accelerator for Sam Coupé running up to 20Mhz giving over 4 times the speed.

Using line interrupts you could change the palette on each line giving 128 possible colours. |
